Eccoilopus Steud., Syn. Pl. Glumac. 1: 123. 1854.

油芒屬

Perennials, culms erect, tufted, medium sized. Blades linear, sometimes saggitate, often with a petiole; ligule papery, ciliate on the abaxial side. Inflorescence a terminal panicle, each branch terminating in a raceme, the rachis continuous. Spikelets paired, all pedicelled, the one shorter and the other longer, lanceolate or ovate, scarcely compressed, articulating from the base of the spikelet, the callus with a tuft of hairs; glumes coriaceous; lower lemma paleate or epaleate; upper lemma 2-cleft, the awn well developed or reduced. About four species distributed in Northern India, mainland China, Japan and Taiwan.

Two species and two forms are found in Taiwan.
