川上短柄草

Culms densely tufted, up to 35 cm tall, 1 mm in diameter. Blade subcoriaceous, convolute, needle-like, 5-9 cm long, 1-2 mm wide; ligule chartaceous, rounded and fimbriate, 0.5 mm long. Raceme with 1-3 spikelets. Spikelets 8-15-flowered, 1.5-3 cm long; glumes subcoriaceous, nerves conspicuous; the lower 7-9 mm long,narrowly lanceolate, 7-nerved, mucronate; the upper lanceolate, 9-11 mm long, 7-nerved, with a short, hard awn at the apex; lemma 12 mm long, villous-tomentose, narrowly lanceolate, subcoriaceous, distinclty 7-nerved, tipped with a hard, short awn; palea linear-oblong, chartaceous, 2-keeled, ciliate along keels, 8 mm long. Caryopsis 4.5 mm long, apex hairy.
