純頭落芒草
Culm erect, up to 100 cm tall, 2 mm in diameter. Blade linear, 10-25 cm long by 5-8 mm wide; ligule chartaceous, 1-2 mm long. Panicle narrow, 15-25 cm long. spikelets 1-flowered, elliptical, pale green to stramineous; glulmes subequal, elliptical, rounded, 4-5 mm long, 3.5-4 mm wide, 5-7-nerved, tessellate-nerved; lemma elliptical, shiny, as long as the glume, topped with a long awn of about 10-15 mm long. Caryopsis elliptic-globose, 3 mm long.
Distributed in China and Ryukyus.
The presence of this species in Taiwan needs further check, because no Taiwan specimen has been seen yet.
