法氏狗尾草
Annuals; clum tufted, 40-100 cm high, base branching. Blade 10-30 cm long, 8-20 mm wide, upper
surface usually with long scattered hairs; sheath margins cilate; ligule a ring of hairs, ca. 1.5 mm long.
Panicle contracted, cylindrical, 5-10 cm long, main axis ciliate, nodding when mature, with sterile bristle-
like branches subtending spikelet. Spikelets ovate, obtuse, ca. 2.6 mm long; lower glume 8-20 mm
long, 3-veined; upper glume 1/3-1/2 as long as spikelet, broadly ovate, 5-veined; lower lemma equaling
spikelet, enclosing a lower palea of smaller size, 7-veined; upper lemma ovate, obtuse, densely and
finely punctate, more or less shiny; anther ca. 0.8 mm long.
