a ring of haris. Spikelets ca. 2.5 mm long; glumes membranaceous; lower glume acute, to 1/3 length of
spikelet, 3-veined; upper glume obtuse, to 1/2 as long as spikelet, 5-veined; lower lemma membranaceous,
as long as spikelet, 5-veined; palea flattened, 2-keeled, as long as lemma; upper lemma indurate,
rugose, 5-veined, palea flattened abaxially, 2-keeled, nearly as long as lemma and spikelet; anthers up
to1 mm long. Caryopsis ca. 1.5 mm long, clasped by broad margins of palea.
