Note: the last revision [2001] of Leptolaena Thouars, sensu stricto, concerns : L. abrahamii, cuspidata, delphinensis, gautieri, masoalensis, multiflora, pauciflora and raymondii. And the revision of Leptolaena Thouars sensu lato (subgenera Mediusella Cavaco and Xerochlamys (Baker) Cavaco)is treated 10 species.
