Note: Of the various infra-specific taxa that have been described, the only one that may be of any actual merit is subsp. eriocalyx. The varities contained within this and subsp. dolicocalyx do not seem to hold up well. More field studies are needed to evaluate the situation presented by this taxon as a whole.
