Note: Highly variable with respect to flower colour and size, leaf size, indumentum colour and density , but we do not regard Arenes' classification into subsp. and var. to account for this in a satisfactory way. It is possible that further study would enable distinct infraspecific taxa to be recognised, but we do not think separate spp. would be appropriate.
