Tepals pale pink with darker pink midveins, lance-ovate to ovate, apex margins flat, not becoming involute. 2n = 14.

Flowering late Apr--Jun. Sandy, rocky, or clay soils on desert slopes and mountains; 1200--2100 m; Ariz., Calif., Nev., Utah.
