Umbel 10–25-flowered, not producing bulbils. Flowers: tepals white to pink; pedicel 8–13 mm. Seeds commonly produced. 2n = 14, 28.

Flowering May--Sep. Moist, open slopes, meadows, or stream banks in mountains; 200--4000 m; Alta., Sask.; Ariz., Colo., Idaho, Mont., Nev., N.Mex., S.Dak., Tex., Utah, Wash., Wyo.
