Stems silvery-sericeous. Leaves: petiole 10–50 mm; blade reniform, 5–13 × 12–20 mm, surfaces: abaxial and adaxial densely sericeous, hairs silvery gray. Pedicels 4–6 mm, recurved near bases. Flowers: sepals 2–2.6 mm at anthesis, to 2.4–3 mm in fruit; corolla cream, 3.4–4 mm. Fruits slightly notched to weakly 2-lobed, 2.2–2.8 × 2–2.1 mm.
Flowering Apr–Nov. Desert scrub, oak woodlands; 1000–2500 m; Ariz., N.Mex., Tex.; Mexico; South America.
