Saxifraga punctata Linnaeus subsp. carlottae Calder & Savile, Canad. J. Bot. 38: 423. 1960; S. nelsoniana D. Don subsp. carlottae (Calder & Savile) Hultén

Leaf blades slightly fleshy, mar-gins 9-12 toothed. Inflores-cences somewhat congested, tangled-ascending hairy. Pistils connate most of their lengths. Capsules 6-12 mm. 2n = 72.

Flowering summer. Stream banks, wet areas; 0-1000 m; B.C., Yukon.

Variety carlottae is known mostly from the Queen Charlotte Islands and adjacent coastal British Columbia.
