Perennials, 20–70 cm. Stems glabrous or sparsely hirsute. Leaves: basal withering by flowering; cauline faces glabrous or glabrate.
Flowering Jun–Aug(–sporadically year-round); salt marshes, disturbed areas of beaches; of conservation concern; ca. 0–10 m; B.C.
Variety glaber is known from Vancouver Island. It apparently can bloom sporadically all year.
