Leaf blades slightly glaucous, spatulate, 10-30 × 10-30 mm, apex rounded. Flowering shoots 4-13 cm; leaf blades glaucous, suborbiculate, base cordate, not clasping stem. Flowers: sepals 2-4.1 mm, apex acute; petals pink or white, 4-8 mm; anthers red or yellow. 2n = 60.
Flowering mid summer. Serpentine; of conservation concern; 1000-1200 m; Calif.
Variety eastwoodiae is known only from four populations on Red Mountain (Mendocino County) and in Del Norte County.
