Trichomes nearly smooth. Petals purplish or light yellow, drying purplish. Fruits: replum apex obtuse; ovules usually 6 per ovary. 2n = 8.

Flowering May-Jul. Steep marly hillsides, steep slides, fine talus, scree, sandy road cuts; 1200-2200 m; Idaho.
