Leaflets: teeth apex ± obtuse, abaxial surfaces pale green, straight hairs sparse to common on veins, cottony hairs absent.
Flowering summer. Moist meadows, dry grassy slopes, in oak and conifer woodlands; 1800–2900 m; Ariz., N.Mex.; Mexico (Chihuahua).
