Hudsonia ericoides Linnaeus subsp. montana (Nuttall) N. H. Nickerson & J. E. Skog
Plants to 20 cm. Leaves ± spreading; blade acerose to subulate, 5–6 mm, surfaces sparsely sericeous, glabrescent. Pedicels 4–7 mm. Flowers: sepal apices acuminate to attenuate; petals yellow; ovaries hairy ± throughout. 2n = 20.
Flowering Jun–Jul. Openings among shrubs, barrens, rocks at cliff edges; of conservation concern; 900–1200 m; N.C.
Hudsonia montana is known only from the vicinity of Table Mountain in western North Carolina.
