Inflorescences open racemes or panicles, axis erect; buds erect. Flowers not protandrous; petals pink darkening to lavender, without markings, 3–5 mm; stamens 8, 4 fertile, 4 sterile and reduced, 3–5 mm; ovary not grooved; stigma not exserted beyond anthers. Fruit an indehiscent capsule, subterete, 2–3 mm, nutlike, 1 or 2 seeded; pedicel 0–2 mm.
