    Rhizomes not distinct. Pseudobulbs horizontally creeping, obliquely ovate, 1-2 cm long, ca. 6-8 mm in diam., dark green or purplish, covered with membranaceous scales at first, salcate or rugose when mature. Leaves, elliptic to obovate, 1-2.5 cm long, 6-10 mm wide, apex rounded, emarginate, base cuneate, upper surface green, lustrous, lower surface pale, articulate with pseudobulb. Peduncle ca. 1 cm long, sheathed; pedicel and ovary ca. 2 cm long. Flower light purple or nearly white, not opening widely; dorsal sepal ovate, 9-10 mm long, 5-6 mm wide, apex acute, contracted at base, 5-nerved; lateral sepal obliquely falcate, ca. 22 mm long, apex acuminate, base adnate to lower foot of column for 15 mm, upper part free for 12 mm, with 5 veins; petals obliquely triangular, 14-16 mm long, apex acute, base broadened, adnate to upper side of foot of column for 10 mm, with 5 veins; lip cuneate-obovate, 23-26 mm long, 12 mm wide, 3-lobed, base clawed, lateral lobes erect, terminal lobe down curved, emarginate or retuse, disc with 1 or 2 basally fused longitudinal keels; column ca. 3-4 mm long, foot ca. 20-22 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, sides thin, wing-like; anther orbicular, cap-like, ca. 1.8 mm long, with 2 raised calli at apex; pollinia 4, obliquely clavate, 1.5 mm long.

    Southern China, northeast India, Bhutan and Thailand. Taiwan, rather rare, scattered in forests, 8002000 m.
