毛唇玉鳳蘭

  • Habenaria hosokawae Fukuy.

    Plants 20-60 cm tall. Tuberoids fusiform, 3-5 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm in diam. Stems 15-40 cm tall, 57 mm in diam., lower part enclosed by 3 or 4 tubular sheaths; upper part with 5- 6 clustered leaves. Leaves oblong or oblong-lanceolate, 5-12 cm long, 2-5 cm wide, apex acute, decurrent into tubular sheath at base, pale green above and with narrow whitish band along margin. Raceme terminal; peduncle ca. 10 cm long, with 3-4 scales decreasing in size upward, glabrous, obscurely ridged, scale lauceolate, 3-4 cm long, rachis ca. 10 cm long, loosely with 5-12 flowers; bracts ovate-lanceolate, 1.5-2 cm long, apex acuminate, 3-nerved; pedicel and ovary nutant, 2.5-3.5 cm long. Flowers not opening widely, pale green; dorsal sepal concave, oblanceolate, 12-13 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, caudate at apex, slightly contracted at base, 3-nerved, with median keel abaxially; lateral sepals ovate-lanceolate, 13-15 mm long, 5-6 mm wide, apex acuminate, contracted and slightly oblique at base, 3-nerved, keeled abaxially; petals deeply bipartite, with linear terete segments divericate at an angle of 90-120 degrees, segments filiform, 14-17 mm long, pilose, often deflexed near tip, lip spurred, 3-partite, with filiform terete segments, lateral segments 17-23 mm long, pilose, deflexed near tips, central one 12-15 mm long, nearly glabrous except pilose base, spur 14-18 mm long, slender near base, curved, dilated apically into clavate sac with acute tip; column 6-8 mm long, with an ellipsoid rugose auricle on lateral sides, anther cells clavate, close apically, divergent at base; pollinia oblong, 3 mm long, with slender caudicle ca. 5 mm long, ending in small viscidium; stigmaphore tape-like, ca. 4 mm long, upturned at apex; rostellum triangular, erect at apex, with broad tape-like arms.
