Podochilus taiwanianus S. S. Ying
Epiphytic plants. Stems tufted, ascending or pendulous, to 40 cm tall; internodes ca. 1 cm long. Leaves oblong, lower ones often elliptic, 2-4 cm long, 7-15 mm wide, apex obtuse or rounded and shallowly 2-lobed, often minutely aristate in sinus, base twisted, articulate with tube-like sheath. Racemes arising terminally and laterally throughout stem, rachis short, ca. 1 cm long, with 5-15 flowers closely arranged like head; bracts triangular-ovate, 2-3 mm long; pedicel and ovary 2-3 mm long. Flowers pale greenish, perianth subspreading, fleshy; dorsal sepal ovate-elliptic, 2-2.5 mm long, 1.5-1.8 mm wide, obtuse; lateral sepals triangular-ovate, 3-3.5 mm long, 2.5 mm wide, oblique, adnate to foot of column and connate at base forming mentum 1.5 mm long; petals elliptic, 2-2.5 mm long, 1 mm wide, obtuse; lip 2.5-3 mm long, with saccate base and an ovate or orbicular limb, limb entire or obscurely undulate, base continuous to shortly ligulate appendage toward basal sac; column ca. 1 mm tall, foot oblong, straight, 1.5 mm long; pollinia clavate, yellow, ca. 0.7 mm long. Capsules ellipsoid, 6 mm long.
