    Plants erect, 30-40 cm tall. Rhizomes stout, terete, 5-10 mm thick, with 3-4 nodes, producing stems upward, densely rooting below. Stems yellowish, lustrous, compressed, highly branched, upper 2-3 internodes dilated into successively larger pseudobulbs. Pseudobulbs yellowish, clavate or fusiform, ancipital, 2-6 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, often shallowly furrowed in age. Leaves, ovate to oblong, 5-10 cm long, 2-3.5 cm wide, obtuse or rounded at apex, slightly narrowed at base into a short petiole, with parallel veins elevated on both surfaces. Racemes arising from leaf axial on apex of pseudobulb, about 1.5 cm long; bracts multiseriate, scale-like, ovate-lanceolate, 3-5 mm long; pedicel and ovary slender, 1.5 cm long. Flowers few, whitish, with yellow lip; dorsal sepal linear-lanceolate, 1.5-1.8 cm long, 3.5-4 mm wide, acute at apex, more or less concave at base; lateral sepals linear-falcate, as long as dorsal one, 4.5 mm wide, acute at apex, oblique at base, mentum ca. 4 mm long; petals linear, 1.5 cm long, 1.5 mm wide, acute to acuminate; lip obtriangular in outline, 1.5-1.8 cm long, enlarged upward from a narrow cuneate base, 3-lobed, lateral lobes ovate-triangular, 4 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, lacerate apically, midlobe obtriangular in outline, 10-12 mm long, about 10 mm wide at apex, dilated from a toothed base and deeply fimbriate from near base toward apex; column stout, semiterete, about 4 mm long, foot ca. 4 mm long; anther 1 mm tall; pollinia yellow, elongate ellipsoid, 0.8 mm long.

    Widespreading in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific islands. Taiwan, at its northern limit, forests along the streams of Hengchun Peninsula.
