Gastrochilus raraensis var. flavus (T. P. Lin) S. S. Ying
Stem usually less than 8 cm long. Leaves fleshy, elliptic-oblong, 3 cm long, 8 mm wide, acute, upper surface green above, lower surface pale beneath. Peduncle ca. 10 cm long; pedicel and ovary ca. 1.2 cm long. Flowers 3-7, yellow, with brown spots, ca. 1 cm across; sepals and petals similar, elliptic-oblong, 5-5.5 mm long, 2.5-3 mm wide, apex rounded; lip saccate, sac conical, flattened, slightly curved, 2 mm tall, with sharp bottom, shallowly grooved laterally; limb reflexed, deltoid, obtuse, 4 mm long, 5.5 mm wide, whitish, with a yellow center cushion, white hairy throughout; column short; pollinia notched.

Endemic, only known from central Taiwan at ca. 2,000 m.
