秋赤箭

Rhizomes tuberous, conical to ellipsoid, 1-3 cm long, villose. Stem 17-30 cm long, distantly noded, sheathed at nodes. Raceme 1-5 cm long, laxly 1-6-flowered; bracts ovate, 2-4 mm long. Flowers with nearly cylindrical perianth tube, pale brown, rugose toward apex; pedicels and ovary 6-7 mm long; sepals connate with petals for most of their length to form a long tube about 6-8 mm long, sepal lobeserect, ovate-deltoid, 1-1.5 mm long, strongly undulate at margins; petal lobes elliptic to orbicular, about 1 mm long, rounded at apex, strongly undulate at margins; lip separated from column, connate 3/ 4 of its length with tube of lateral sepals, free part exserted at sinus of lateral sepal lobes, petal-like, fan-shaped, rounded at apex, strongly undulate at margins, thickened at base; column semicylindrical, 4-4.5 mm long, laterally winged , wings narrow, decurrent toward base; column-foot absent; anther orbicular, 1 mm across; pollinia nearly spherical; stigma, occupying most basal area of ventral side of column, soon covered with many scattered pollen grains; rostellum, irregularly toothed at margin. Capsules ellipsoid, with an elongate pedicel ca. 3 cm long.

Endemic, in forests at elevation below 1,400 m in the northern and central part of Taiwan.
