    Terrestrial erect herbs ca. 25-40 cm tall. Roots filiform, less than 1 mm in diam. Pseudobulbs closely aggregated, ovoid, 1.8-3 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm in diam., enclosed by 2 or 3 membranaceous sheaths; sheath ovate-lanceolate, 3-6 cm long, apex acute. Leaves 2, petiolate, ovate or oblong, 6-13 cm long, 4-6 cm wide, apex obtuse, base contracted, decurrent into petiole, glabrous on both surfaces, with +/-distinct curved lateral veins, margin crisped or wavy; petiole 5-9 cm long, 8-10 mm wide, slightly enclosing peduncle. Peduncle green, slender, 5-20 cm long, 2.5-4 mm thick, glabrous, distinctly 3ridged, rachis ca. 18-20 cm long; bracts triangular, 2-3 mm long, acute, 1-nerved; pedicel and ovary ca. 15 mm long. Flowers 10-20, +/- loosely arranged, pale green, often tinged with purple especially in center of lip, widely opening; dorsal sepal linear, 10-12 mm long, 2.5-3 mm wide, obtuse at apex, strongly revolute and reflexed, 3-nerved, keeled; lateral sepals oblique, oblong-lanceolate, 10-12 mm long, 3-3.5 mm wide, acute at apex, revolute, parallel below lip, 3-nerved, keeled; petals linear-filiform, 10-12 mm long, 1 mm wide, revolute, deflexed and lower than lateral sepals, curved upward from middle; lip cuneate-obovate, 10-12 mm long, 7-10 mm wide, erect-ascending from base, recurved abruptly at middle, apex truncate rounded, minutely apiculate, nearly entire or indistinctly serrulate, disc glabrous, without callus at base, slightly elevated laterally at base, with a shallow canal; column green, curved, 56 mm long, dilated toward base into 2 smooth mounds, without sharp processes, apex winged, wings rounded-obtuse; anther green, cordate, 1.5 mm long, 2-celled, cells surrounded by whitish wall; pollinia 2, obliquely ovoid, waxy, 0.6 mm long.

    China, Korea and Japan. Taiwan, in the north and east in forests at 1,800 -2,000 m, not common.
