假日本雙葉蘭

Plants 16-22 cm tall. Stems erect, slender, ca. 12 cm long below leaves, with few scales near base. Leaves ovate-semiorbicular or nearly reniform, 2-2.5 cm long, 3-3.5 cm wide, rounded and apiculate at apex, truncate-cordate at base, membranaceous, with reticulate veinlets. Raceme 3-4 cm long, with 6-8 flowers nearly secundly arranged, peduncle and rachis puberulous, slender, peduncle with few scales; bracts ovate-lanceolate or ovate, 1-3 mm long, decreasing in size upward, acute; pedicel and ovary 6.5-8 mm long, straight or slightly curved, glabrous. Flowers spreading; dorsal sepal linear-oblanceolate, 3.2-3.5 mm long, 0.7-1 mm wide, apex obtuse, slightly contracted at base; lateral sepals linear-oblong, 3.5-3.7 mm long, 0.6-0.8 mm wide, acute or obtuse, 1-nerved; petals linear-oblong, 3.5-3.7 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, obtuse, 1-nerved; lip obtriangular, 5-6 mm long, narrowly clawed at base, 3-lobed, lateral lobes producing at ca. 0.7 mm from base, oblanceolate or nearly rectangular, ca. 1.5 mm long, truncate or rotundate at apex, narrowed at base, terminal lobe large, enlarged from claw-like base and 2lobulate near apex, lobules obliquely rectangular, 2.5 mm long, 4 mm wide, entire or slightly irregular denticulate, many nerved, sinus with triangular tooth; column ca. 2 mm long, erect, with short stalk; anther ovoid, ca. 0.7 mm long; stigma semiorbicular; rostellum broadly ovate, rounded at apex.

Endemic. Collected once near Taichung at low elevation.
