八代赤箭

Rhizomes tuberous, obconical or fusiform, 2-4.5 cm long, pilose, brown, 5-8-noded, each node with 8-12 lanceolate scales. Stems 6-15 cm long, pale brownish, distantly noded and sheathed. Raceme densely 3-10-flowered; bracts ovate, acute at apex, 0.6-0.8 cm long. Flowers suberect or nodding, pale brown or blackish, 1.2 cm across; pedicels and ovary 1.5-2 cm long; sepals connate at base forming a tube, trilobed at apex, 11-12 mm long, verrucose outside, lobes curved inward, dorsal sepal shorter than lateral ones, connate about 1/2 of its length with lateral sepals, obtuse and slightly retuse at apex, internally much thickened at middle portion, lateral sepals connate for 3/5 of their length from base, obtuse at apex; petal elliptic, attached on middle part of perianth tube, thickened at base; lip triangular-ovate, unlobed, thin, 7-8 mm long, 4 mm wide, apex caudate, denticulate at margins, base clawed, entire, with 2 crest-like calli on both sides; column clavate, 4.5 mm long, laterally winged, wings deltoid or sub-quadrate; column-foot obvious; anther ovoid, 1.2 mm long; pollinia 2, each 2-partite, granular; stigma at central part of column; rostellum minute, revolute at upper margin. Capsules cylindrical, 3.2-3.5 cm long, with an elongate pedicel 25-29 cm long.
