Peristylus iyoensis Ohwi
Plants 15-40 cm tall. Tuberoids cylindrical. Stem with 5-7 leaves below. Leaves oblong or broadly oblanceolate, ca. 10 cm long, 2 cm wide, glabrous on both surfaces. Raceme erect, slender, with several scales below; bracts ovate-lanceolate, 8-12 mm long, 3 mm wide, acuminate; pedicel and ovary ca. 10 mm long, greenish. Flowers many, greenish, glabrous; dorsal sepal ovate, concave, 5-6 mm long, 3.8 mm wide, apex obtuse; lateral sepals obliquely ovate, 5-6 mm long, 2.2 mm wide, reflexed, descending; petals close to dorsal sepal forming hood, obliquely oblong, arcuate, 5-6 mm long,, 2 mm wide, apex acute; lip cruciform, 3-lobed from base, central lobe linear, 7-9 mm long, descendent, lateral lobes filiform, 7-1 5 mm long, spur cylindrical, slender, 11-20 mm long, bent forward and close to ovary; column with large rounded auricles laterally; anther cells clavate, widely separated; stigmaphores widely separated, terete, longer than thecal tubes.
