Plants 30-60 cm tall. Stem ascending from creeping base, terete, glabrous, 6-10 mm in diam., 30-50 cm long, dark brown, leafy near apex. Leaves elliptic, 5-10 cm long, 3-4.5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base obtuse; petiole 3-5 cm long, conduplicate. Peduncle and rachis 10-15 cm long, red brown, hairy, with 1 or 2 sterile bract-like scales, scales red brown; floral bracts hairy outside. Flowers more than 10, resupinate, greenish brown; ovary hairy; sepals 7-9 mm long, dorsal one rhombic-ovate, concave, lateral ones orbicular-ovate, apex acuminate, recurved, not widely spreading; petals obliquely rhombic, 79 mm long, 3-3.2 mm wide, acuminate, appressed to dorsal sepal and forming hood; lip ventricose-sac-cate, 4.7-5 mm long, 3.7 mm wide, sac slightly bilobed at apex, glabrous within, with slender blade hanging from mouth, blade narrowly lanceolate, erect in bud and appressed to sac at anthesis; column light reddish brown, 5-6 mm long, with vertical V-shaped appendage on ventral side; anther lanceolate, red purple, 4.5-5.5 mm long; pollinia 4.5-5 mm long, joined together at tapered ends and forming long caudicle, caudicle flat, lanceolate, divided at apex, with viscidium on ventral side; stigma ventral, above column appendage; rostellum bent apically, 5-6 mm long, deeply 2-lobed, lobes enlarged and truncate near apex, with tapering acute tip, viscidium oblong.
