Terrestrial, ca. 15 cm tall. Stems 3-5 cm long. Leaves usually 2, rather close, oblique, ovate-elliptic, 5-8 cm long, 3.5-4.5 cm wide, apex acute, base decurrent into sheaths. Inflorescence terminal; peduncle 10-12 cm long, slender, green; bracts small, reflexed; pedicel and ovary green, 3.8 mm long. Flowers orange, with sepals and petals spreading nearly in one plane; dorsal sepal ovate, 5 mm long, 4 mm wide, acute at apex, contracted at base; lateral sepals obliquely ovate or semiorbicular, 4 mm long, 2.8 mm wide, obtuse at apex, contracted at base; petals obovate, 4 mm long, 2.8 mm wide, obtuse at apex, cuneate at base; lip cordate, close to column, forming a plane nearly perpendicular to ovary, 3 mm long, 3 mm wide, apex obtuse, base cordate, with 2 small rounded auricles on both sides of column; disc with 2 short dark ridges; column 2 mm long, joined with lip for half its length, with short broad wings; anther ovate, orange; pollinia waxy, yellow.
