天長羅曼蕨

Blechnum eburneum Chist in Bull. Qeogr. Bot. Mans. 233. 1902; DeVol in Fl. Taiwan 1: 151, 1975. Spicantopsis eburnea (Christ) Tagawa var. obtusa Tagawa in Acta Phytotax. Geobot. 9: 88. 1940.

Rhizome short, erect; scales abundant, brown, lanceolate, entire. Fronds dimorphous, coriaceous, fertile and sterile fronds about same length; stipes tufted, short, 2-3 cm long, scaly at base; sterile fronds pinnate, 12-20 cm long; pinnae adnate, 6-7 mm long, entire, obtuse to rounded at apex; lower pinnae gradually shortened to small wings; venation obscure; fertile frond pinnate, pinnae about 7 mm long, lowest pinnae shortened to small wings. Indusia brown, coriaceous, occupying nearly whole of underside of pinna, margin of pinnae only slightly extended beyond sorus.

Endemic. A rare species limit at middle altitude limestone of central mountains.
