Thrixspermum devolium T. P. Lin & C. C. Hsu
Stem less than 1 cm long, enclosed by distichous leaf sheaths. Leaves straight or curved, linear-lan-ceolate or elongate oblong, 3-5 cm long, 8-9 mm wide, rigidly coriaceous, often tinged with purple. Inflorescence from near base of stem; peduncle slender, 6-9 cm long; rachis slightly dilated; bracts persistent; pedicel and ovary 5 mm long. Flowers white, 1 or 2 at a time opening successively, not resupinate, fragrant, ca. 1 cm across; sepals elliptic, 6 mm long, 3.3 mm wide; petals concave, 6 mm long, 3 mm wide; lip shallowly saccate, 4-5 mm long, triangular, ca. 6.5 mm across, lateral lobes brownish yellow, erect, triangular, rounded at apex, midlobe white, fleshy, upturned, with 2 tufts of white papillose hairs at apex, hairs extending, turning pink towards base of disc, disc with red brown streaks; column 1 mm long, white, foot nearly as long as column; pollinia 4, in two pairs, stipe broad.
