Plants 10-25 cm tall. Rhizome tuberous, ovoid, 1-2 cm long. Stem fleshy, brownish yellow, with brownish purple stripes and dots, to 20 cm long, 3-7 mm in diam., glabrous, with few membranaceous scales. Raceme 5-8 cm long; bracts ovate-lanceolate, ca. 10 mm long, 4 mm wide, apex acute or acuminate; pedicel and ovary yellowish, with purple stripes and spots, ca. 12 mm long, pedicel slender, pendulous, 4 mm long. Flowers 7-10, perianth not opening widely, brownish yellow, with dark purplish stripes and spots; sepals and petals similar, lanceolate, 18-13 mm long, 4 mm wide, apex acuminate; lip adnate to base of column, triangular-lanceolate when expanded, ca. 1 cm long, 4-5 mm wide, apex acute, strongly incurved on both sides, spurred at base, spur bent away from ovary, elongate conic, 10 mm long, 4 mm wide at base, dorsiventrally compressed and tapering toward tip, sometimes bifid at apex; column arched, ca. 8 mm long, broadened toward apex and base; anther erect, fleshy, 3 mm long; pollinia 2, ovoid, ca. 2 mm long, with slender caudicle ca. 3 mm long; stigma near base of column, entire but with 3 confluent sticky convex surfaces.
