3300-5600 m; Gilgit, Karakoram, Himalaya (Kashmir to Nepal), S.W. Tibet. The identification of these specimens is not certain. Recent studies indicate that A. muscoidea occurs only in the Western Himalaya, and that these specimens may provc to be a different species.
