Note: Camus' original reasons for describing this genus seem quite compelling, and until new evidence becomes available supporting lumping it in Echinolaena (or elsewhere) as has been implied (Kew grass database), I prefer to maintain it. The 3 species accepted by Camus also seem quite acceptable.
