Note: Leucas linifolia and L. indica where noted by Palacky for Madagascar but the status of these records has not been confirmed. A single specimen of a second sp. (Perrier 15410) at P matches material of L. stricta Benth. non Bak. collected in India (Wight 2161): L. stricta Bak. is from Africa and appears to be different. The status of this plant needs further study, it is assumed to be a second naturalized species. In the Comoros other spp. of Leucas also occur.
