Subshrub to 35-45 cm, with many erect, unbranched stems. Leaves elongate-linear, 1.5-2.5 cm x 0.2-0.3 cm. Flowers large, pink, in rounded racemes. Evergreen in many regions, new growth from early spring. Fl - mid-spring to mid-summer. Fr - a month later. P - by seed and cuttings. Requires a sunny site. Well suited for group planting and the rock gardens. Z 6 (5). New.
