Bellevalia lipskyi (Miscz.) E. Wulf

Bulbous plant 20-30 cm high. Bulb broadly ovate, 2-2.5 cm diam., with brown scales. Leaves 4 or 5, linear, slightly channeled, 15-20 cm x 1-5 cm. Flowers in cylindrical raceme, each bloom 0.8-1.0 cm long, with yellow-brown perianth. V - April to August. Fl - in May or June. Fr - July. P - by seed or daughter bulbs. Does well in sunny places. Needs shelter in winter in USDA zone 5 and colder. Good for the rock garden. New.

Crimea. On grassy slopes, rarely in fields.
