Rachis, midvein of leaflet blade, and inflorescence sparsely gray pubescent.
Cliffs; 2700--3700 m. NW Yunnan [N Myanmar].
One of us (Spongberg) prefers to treat this variety as a synonym of the species because of the slight differences.
