Herbs annual, with a long tap root. Leaves sessile or subsessile, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, 5--30 X 1.5--5 mm, tapering toward base, abaxially glabrescent, adaxially pulverulous, margin remotely denticulate on distal 1/2, apex obtuse to acute. Scapes 1 to many, erect, 1--25 cm, with short branched hairs; umbels many flowered; bracts subulate, 2--3 mm. Pedicels unequal, 1--1.7 cm, elongating after anthesis, 2--6(--10) cm in fruit, short glandular pubescent. Calyx turbinate, ca. 2.5 mm, parted to 1/3; lobes darker than tube, narrowly triangular, apex acute; veins 5, distinct. Corolla white; tube shorter than calyx; lobes oblong, 1--1.2 X 0.6--1 mm. 2n = 20.
