Leaves 7--13 × 4--9 cm, glabrous on both surfaces or sparsely villous abaxially. Labellum deeply 2-cleft at apex. 2 n = 22.
Open areas. Guangdong, Guangxi, Taiwan, Yunnan [native to India; widely cultivated in SE Asia].
Cultivated for medicine and spice.
