Plants green. Stems erect or ascending, covered with upwardly curved appressed short hairs, glandular, with many subequal and spreading branches. Leaves spreading, linear or linear-lanceolate, 1-2 × 0.1-0.25 cm. Capitula in multibranched, densely leafy synflorescences. Involucres 0.5-8 mm in diam.; phyllaries with narrow or broad margins; outer phyllaries leaflike, hairy or glabrate, glandular. Ray florets 5-6 mm.
● Stony or soil-covered slopes, roadsides, very common. Gansu, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Nei Mongol, Shaanxi, Shanxi.
The stems with many subequal long branches, smaller leaves, and smaller capitula differ significantly from other varieties.
