Rhododendron primulinum Hemsley.
Leaf blade narrow; abaxial surface with scales uniformly brown. Calyx 2–4(–7) mm; style puberulous. Fl. Mar–May, fr. Jun–Jul.
Alpine forests, rocks; 3000–4300 m. W Sichuan.
