Climbing on shrubs, in thickets, over rocks, by streams; sea level to 4000 m. Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Taiwan, Xizang, Yunnan, Zhejiang [Bhutan, S India, Nepal, Sri Lanka].
