Leaf blade ovate or broadly ovate, 2-11 × 1.5-7 cm, both surfaces glabrous, base deeply or shallowly cordate, margin regularly obtusely serrate, teeth curved toward inside, apex acuminate or shortly acuminate; stipules ca. 1/3 adnate to petioles; flowers white, sometimes reddish inside. Fl. Apr-May, fr. Jun-Oct. 2n = 24.
Mixed forests, thickets; 300-800 m. SE Liaoning [Japan, Korea].
