圆锥薹草组 yuan zhui tai cao zu
Rhizome elongate, shortly creeping. Culms loosely tufted; sheaths red-brown or yellow punctate. Inflorescence ± branched; spikes androgynous, lower spikes forming a spicate-paniculate inflorescence. Utricles leathery, unequally biconvex.
About 15 species: N and W Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, Pacific islands; one species in China.
