Herbs drying black. Stems erect, rigid, usually branched apically. Leaves in whorls of 3 or 4, lanceolate to linear or oblong, pinnatifid to pinnatisect. Inflorescences racemose or spicate. Calyx lobes 5, triangular or lanceolate, entire.
