Abies salouenensis Borderes & Gaussen, Trav. Lab. Forest. Toulouse T. 1(4, 15): 4. 1947; A. chensiensis subsp. salouenensis (Borderes & Gaussen) Rushforth; A. chensiensis var. salouenensis (Borderes & Gaussen) Silba; A. chensiensis subsp. yulongxueshanensis Rushforth; Abies chensiensis var. yulongxueshanensis (Rushforth) Silba; A. recurvata var. salouenensis (Borderes & Gaussen) C. T. Kuan.
Leaves loosely arranged, straight, thicker, 4-7 cm. Seed cones brown-yellow or brown, usually 10-14 × circa 5 cm
* Mountains, mixed forests of Quercus and Pinus; 2600-3200 m. SE Xizang, NW Yunnan.
