Salix microstachyoides C. Wang & P. Y. Fu, Acta Phytotax. Sin. 12: 200. 1974.
Female catkin short, thick, 5-6 × 2-3 mm; bracts usually nearly as long as ovary. Female flower: adaxial and abaxial glands present.
