Scales of buds glabrous. Leaves obovate or elliptic; lateral veins 8-12 on each side of midvein.
* Mixed forests; 1500-3600 m. SE Gansu, Guizhou, W Hubei, Ningxia, Shaanxi, E Sichuan, Xizang, Yunnan
